Here you’ll find mugs, bowls and little oddities that refuse to be boring.
Every piece begins as a simple lump of clay and ends with its own personality. I throw each mug, bowl and little treasure by hand before carving every design individually, which means no two pieces are ever exactly the same...perfectly imperfect and full of character...that’s exactly how I like it.
They’re a little bit of fun, gloriously unique and designed to be filled with coffee, cake, a perfect brew, flowers—or whatever makes you happy.

Mugs with a little mischief
Every Mud Imp mug is thrown by hand in my little studio, one at a time. No moulds, no production line, no two exactly alike.
I love the marks that remind you a real person made it—the tiny curves, carved textures, flowing glazes and unexpected little quirks that make each piece its own character.
Some glazes wander where they weren’t invited. Sometimes the kiln adds a surprise of its own. We call that the Mud Imp working its magic.
Made to be used every day, whether it’s your first coffee before the world wakes up or a giant mug of tea after a long day, these are pieces designed to become favourites. The mug you always reach for.

Bowls that deserve to be left out
Some bowls are hidden away in cupboards.
Mud Imp bowls tend to live on kitchen tables, shelves and coffee tables because they’re just as lovely empty as they are full.
Each one is thrown by hand, carved with care and finished in glazes that dance differently every time they’re fired. The kiln always gets the final vote, making every bowl completely unique.
Fill them with steaming pasta, morning porridge, summer strawberries or absolutely nothing at all. They’re made to be used, admired and occasionally fought over.

Little oddities
Not everything fits neatly into a category.
Sometimes an idea arrives while I’m at the wheel. Sometimes it’s inspired by a glaze. Sometimes it’s simply because I thought, “I wonder if I can make that…”
This is where those pieces end up.
Vases for wildflowers picked on a walk. Chip and dip bowls made for sharing. Trinket trays that keep rings, keys and tiny treasures safe. And whatever else the Mud Imp dreams up next.
Every piece is handmade, completely unique and created with the same love, curiosity and a healthy dose of mischief as the rest of the collection.
Because the best ideas don’t always follow the rules.
Hi, I’m Kerry - I've become slightly obsessed with clay!
I spend far too much time thinking about glazes, different forms, & convincing myself I can open the kiln “just five minutes early"!!
In 2025 I tried some pottery classes and found it totally relaxed my mind, removed the chaos, & allowed me to bring my own little style to something - I was hooked, and in 2026 I invested in a little home pottery in Greenwich, London.
The name 'Mud Imp' comes from the mischievous little character I imagine living in the studio—the one who encourages me to experiment, embrace happy accidents and remember that perfection is overrated. I see so many videos & posts where everything is uniform & perfect...well life's not like that so why put so much pressure on trying to recreate the same perfection time after time!!
Mud Imp grew from a simple idea: handmade pottery should make people smile!
If a piece makes you smile before you’ve even filled it with coffee, then I’ve done my job.
